Laos forges ahead in proactive disaster risk reduction

VIENTIANE(Xinhua): The National Anticipatory Action Technical Working Group was established in the Lao capital Vientiane, to move towards proactive disaster management aimed at minimizing the impact of impending disasters.

Jointly launched by the Lao Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Anticipatory Action Technical Working Group brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including government agencies, UN agencies and civil society organisations, Lao News Agency (KPL) had reported.
