Undying crime of human trafficking


The Thai authorities shut down six illegal cellular sites near the Thai-Myanmar border in September, in their latest effort to dismantle the telecommunications structure used by the cyberscam gangs operating across the border.

They also ordered mobile phone service operators in the border district of Mae Sot to realign their antennae away from Myanmar, three months after shutting off the power supply to the towns hosting these scam compounds.
