If named a suspect, Syahrul becomes the sixth minister in Jokowi’s administration to be charged with corruption. - JP

JAKARTA (Reuters): Indonesia's agriculture minister on Thursday (Oct 5) stepped down over his involvement in a case being investigated by the country's anti-graft agency, making him the sixth minister in President Joko Widodo's cabinet to face corruption allegations.

Syahrul Yasin Limpo's resignation comes after the agency, known as the KPK, found billions of rupiah in raids on his ministry and residence. The agency has not yet provided details of the case nor has it publicly named Syahrul a suspect.
