Openbill storks flock to last source of water in Chonburi

BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): The sight of hundreds of Asian openbill storks flocking at the nearly dry Phoot Anan reservoir in Chonburi’s Sattahip district was a treat for visitors on Tuesday (Sept 5).

A Plu Ta Luang subdistrict resident said the reservoir has been a sanctuary for birds and other wildlife in the past year, especially since the eastern province has been suffering from drought and decreased rainfall.

Uh-oh! Daily quota reached.
