Vietnam's retail sales, service revenues up 10% in 8 months

HANOI (Xinhua):- Vietnam's total goods retail sales and consumer service revenues increased by 10 per cent year on year in the first eight months of this year to more than 4.04 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (US$167.1 billion), according to the latest statistics of the country's General Statistics Office.

Specifically, Vietnam's goods retail sales stood at nearly 3.2 quadrillion dong ($131.2 billion dollars), up 8.7 per cent, with the sales of food and foodstuff growing by 12.1 per cent, those of culture and education rising by 11 per cent, and those of clothing going up by 8.7 per cent, according to the office.
