Thai election runners-up Pheu Thai inch closer to coalition majority; coalition now has 238 MPs in its camp

BANGKOK (AFP): Thailand's Pheu Thai party inched closer to forming a government and clearing the kingdom's political logjam, announcing another party had joined its coalition, nearly three months after elections.

Chart Thai Pattana Party becomes the latest party to join the Pheu Thai Party-led coalition, raising its total number of Members of Parliament (MP) to 238 in the 500-member House of Representatives.
