Heavy rains to hit most of Thailand until Thursday

BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): Heavy to very heavy rainfall is forecast to continue in most parts of Thailand until Thursday (Aug 3) due to a monsoon trough lying across the upper North of Thailand and upper Laos combined with a low-pressure cell over upper Vietnam, the Meteorological Department said.

Meanwhile, a rather strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, it added.
