Philippine foreign ministry downplays Barbie movie’s alleged depiction of China’s nine-dash line

MANILA (Philippine Daily Inquirer/Asia News Network): The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said it is “not convinced” that the highly-anticipated “Barbie” film has depicted China’s nine-dash line.

DFA, in a statement on Wednesday (July 12), thanked the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) for the “joint screening” of the movie Barbie to “ascertain if the depiction of the imaginary world map is inimical to the national interest.”
