17 Thai conglomerates make it to Forbes’ 'Global 2000' list


BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): Forbes magazine has released its 20th annual ranking of the world's top-performing conglomerates for the year 2023, with JP Morgan, the largest bank in the US with US$3.7 trillion in assets, securing the first position for the first time since 2011.

Following closely behind is Saudi Aramco, the energy giant of Saudi Arabia, in second place, and three Chinese state-owned banks led by ICBC. Other notable companies in the top 10 include technology giants Alphabet (ranked 7th), Microsoft (ranked 9th), and Apple (ranked 10th).
