Indonesian military helicopter crew survives crash in West Java

JAKARTA, May 29 (Bernama): An Indonesian military helicopter crashed Sunday in Bandung, West Java and all five crew members have survived.

In a statement, the military said its Bell 412 helicopter was on a training mission to support infantry battalion when it crashed at a village in Rancabali district.

The helicopter was destroyed in the accident but all passengers and the pilot escaped the wreckage and were taken to a local hospital in Cimahi.

A viral video from the scene shows the helicopter caught fire and rescuers, as well as passers-by helped the survivors.

An extensive investigation would be carried out to determine the full causes of the crash, the military said. - Bernama
