Indonesian duo jailed for immigration violations and overstaying in Brunei

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, April 9 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): The Brunei Magistrate’s Court handed sentences to a pair of Indonesians who pleaded guilty to overstaying after evading the authorities.

Magistrate Nur Eleana Dato Seri Paduka Hairol Arni sentenced 52-year-old Cinayah to a year’s jail and a BND1,000 fine, while 51-year-old Faza Santoso received eight month’s jail and a BND2,000 fine.
