Vietnam sends over 142,000 abroad to work under contract in 2022

HANOI, Jan 8 (Xinhua): Vietnam sent more than 142,000 laborers abroad to work under contract last year, mostly to Japan, China's Taiwan and South Korea, local media cited the country's Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs has announced.

The number was three times 2021's figure and surpassed the target set for the year, which stood at 90,000, local newspaper Tuoi Tre (Youth) reported, citing the ministry's Department of Overseas Labor.
