VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): The authorities of Saravan province are conducting a study to prepare a proposal for declaring Bandan Bridge, built in 1942 by Prince Souphanouvong, as a national heritage site.

Prince Souphanouvong served as the designer and led the construction of the old bridge over Xedon River. It is located about 22km from the city of Saravan, and along Road No 23 that connects Saravan district to Toumlan and Phin districts.
