Vietnam’s dong poised for longest losing streak since 2008


HANOI (Bloomberg): Vietnam’s dong declined for a 10th straight day, its longest losing streak in 14 years, after the central bank widened the currency’s daily trading band.

The dong weakened as much as 0.6% to set a new record-low of 24,511 on Wednesday (Oct 19). The currency is set for the longest stretch of losses since June 2008.
