HANOI, Sept 13 (Vietnam News/ANN): The national Covid-19 caseload rose to 11,444,927 with 3,301 new cases recorded on September 13, according to the Ministry of Health.
With 11,167 patients given the all clear during the day, the number of recoveries rose to 10,348,304.
Meanwhile, there are 190 patients needing breathing support.
Two deaths from Covid-19 were recorded in the past 24 hours. The total fatalities rose to 43,132.
Vietnam recorded 2,013 new Covid-19 cases on Monday. Tuesday numbers were clearly a big rise against Monday's total.
On Monday (Sept 12), an additional 112,529 doses of vaccines were administered, raising the total number of doses of Covid-19 vaccines injected to 258,807,450, including nearly 219.9 million shots on people aged 18 and above, said the ministry.
As of Monday, there were 147 severe cases in need of assisted breathing in the South-East Asian country, according to the ministry.
Nationwide, 10,337,137 Covid-19 patients, or over 90 per cent of the total infections, have recovered.
Vietnam has already recorded Covid-19 infections with the Omicron BA.4, BA.5, BA.2.12.1 and BA.2.74 sub-variants and is accelerating the inoculation of its people with a fourth vaccine dose.- Vietnam News/ANN
