Asean, India pledge closer co-operation on Indo-Pacific issues

PHNOM PENH (The Phnom Penh Post/Asia News Network): Asean and India are committed to strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation in relation to Indo-Pacific issues, Asean centrality, openness, transparency, inclusiveness, good governance, unity and non-interference, with Cambodian lawmaker Chheang Vun saying the partnership had improved in many strategic sectors.

Vun, who is also head of the National Assembly’s (NA) Commission on Economics, Finance, Banking and Auditing, accompanied the Asean Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) delegation on their Aug 11-12 visit to India.
