Vietnam's northern region braces for Typhoon Mulan

HANOI (Vietnam News/Asia News Network): Typhoon Mulan, the second tropical storm hitting the East Sea this year, with a high wind speed of 88km per hour, is predicted to bring torrential rain to the northern region from Wednesday (Aug 10) night before hitting northern provinces from Quảng Ninh to Nam Định on Thursday.

The National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warned on Wednesday morning that the maximum rainfall is forecasted to be up to 250mm.
