Ngum River gets fish stock boost on National Aquatic and Wildlife Day

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): Government officials on Tuesday released 250,000 fish fingerlings into the Nam Ngum river in Thangon village, Xaythany district, Vientiane, to mark National Aquatic and Wildlife Day which falls on July 13.

Those taking part in the event included the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Dr Phet Phomphiphak; Vientiane Vice-Mayor, Phoukhong Bannavong; Xaythany district Governor, Khampadith Khemmanith; other government officials; and members of international organisations.
