MICHELLE Arceo (pic) of the Philippines was a heavy favourite to win the coveted Miss Environment International crown in the first edition of the pageant, but had to settle for second place, and received the subsidiary “Miss Ecosystem” title during the competition’s final in Mumbai, India.
In the end, Belgium’s Kayra Wouters was proclaimed Miss Environment International at the culmination of the programme on April 2, that extended into the early hours of the next day.
