Thailand seeks ways to help 7,000 stranded Russian, Ukrainian tourists

BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): Tourism and Sports Minister Pipat Ratchakitprakan said Tuesday’s (March 8) Cabinet meeting would seek measures to help some 7,000 tourists from Russia and Ukraine stranded in Thailand after war broke out between their two countries.

Russian credit cards have been blocked by Visa and Mastercard as part of international sanctions for Moscow’s invasion, while flights to Ukraine are suspended as war rages in the country.
