BEIJING (The Straits Times/Asia News Network): Chinese Olympic officials on Tuesday (Jan 11) said there is no plan to lock down Beijing in the lead-up to the Winter Games, adding that even with the emergence of the Omicron variant, the situation is still largely under control.
They warned, however, that this could change if there is a large-scale outbreak within the Olympic Covid-19 bubble.
