Vietnam's economy sailing through the Covid-19 storm


HANOI, Dec 27 (Bernama): Vietnam has fulfilled a number of economic targets this year despite impact of Covid-19 pandemic, becoming one of the top 20 economies in the world in terms of international trade.

The country’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew 2 per cent, while its foreign trade value surpassed US$660 billion, up 21 per cent, with a trade surplus of about US$2.1 billion. Notably, foreign direct investment (FDI) poured into the country hit over US$29 billion, up nearly US$500 million from last year.
