Emerging markets: Thai baht hits two week low as most Asian stocks subdued on quicker US rate hike bets

BANGKOK, Nov 23 (Reuters): Shares in most Asian emerging markets were subdued on Tuesday, as US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's reappointment for a second term raised bets for quicker rate hikes, but Philippine stocks recorded their best session in two-and-half weeks.

The regional currencies also weakened, with Thai baht, one of the worst performing currencies in the region this year, falling 0.8% to hit a two-week low. The South Korean won and Malaysian ringgit fell 0.4% and 0.2%, respectively.
