BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Nov 20 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): While a strong dedication to safety and sanitation is already part of the Coffee Bean Brunei culture, the pandemic has only served to further solidify the commitment, said its Training Manager Geoffrey Enriquez.
Speaking to the Weekend Bulletin on preparations for the re-opening of businesses beginning on Friday (Nov 19), Enriquez said Coffee Bean Brunei’s preparations are in line with Ministry of Health (MoH) guidelines, such as deep cleaning and sanitation of all premises.
“Our staff are fully vaccinated. They will also be tested for Covid-19 every two weeks to ensure everyone’s safety.
"A Covid task force has also been formed to verify the staff’s BruHealth code before they are allowed to return to work,” Enriquez added.
As part of Coffee Bean Brunei’s business continuity plan, staff are divided into two independent teams to run business operations, including checking customers’ BruHealth code and vaccination status on entry, he said.
“A contactless infrared thermometer will also be used to ensure customers are in good health, and only 50 per cent of the capacity will be available to ensure enough space between customers.
Gym and health centres are also among the facilities allowed to re-open during the Transition Phase.
“We are very pleased with the government’s decision to allow the gym to re-open after a long break. However, the safety of our customers and staff is our main priority,” said gym owner Kenny. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
