Lao PM calls for international support for national agenda


VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh (pic) has called for support for the socio-economic development of Laos, particularly the fulfilment of the national agendas for 2021-2023 on economic and financial recovery and the fight against drug trafficking.

Delivering a statement at the 13th High Level Round Table Meeting on Wednesday (Nov 17), Phankham highlighted the importance of the success of the 9th National Socio-Economic Development Plan, Laos’ graduation from Least Developed Country status by 2026, and the achievement of goals under the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
