Foreign investment in Vietnam up 1.1 per cent in 10 months

HANOI, Nov 2 (Xinhua): Vietnam attracted an estimated foreign investment of US$23.74 billion in the first 10 months of this year, up 1.1 per cent year-on-year, the country's General Statistics Office has announced.

Specifically, Vietnam licensed 1,375 new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with total registered capital of US$13.02 billion, down 34.5 per cent in quantity but up 11.6 per cent in capital year-on-year.

In the 10-month period, the country also saw 776 operational FDI projects raise capital of US$7.09 billion in total, up 24.2 per cent.
