Philippines DOH announces Covid-19 cases are on downward trend as country logs 11,010 new cases on Saturday (Oct 9)


MANILA, Oct 9 (Xinhua): The Philippines' Department of Health (DOH) reported 11,010 new Covid-19 infections on Saturday, pushing the number of confirmed cases in the South-East Asian country to 2,654,450.

The DOH also reported that 273 more people died from Covid-19 complications, bringing the country's death toll to 39,505.
