Myanmar: Shan villagers displaced by fighting between RCSS and northern alliance


YANGON, Sept 16 (Eleven Media Group/ANN): Over 1,000 locals already have been displaced by flash fighting between Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) and Northern Alliance army took place in Mongkai Township, Loilam district, northern Shan State starting from Sept 14, according to Tai Freedom which is the information centre of RCSS.

The Tai Freedom also reported that about 400 members from northern alliance army which includes armed Shan State Progress Party-SSPP attacked the RCSS’s battalion in the morning of Sept 14.
