Thailand logs new high of 20,200 Covid-19 infections and 188 deaths


BANGKOK (The Nation/ANN): The Ministry of Public Health reported on Wednesday (Aug 4) morning that in the past 24 hours there are 20,200 new patients who tested positive for Covid-19, 187 of whom have been found in prisons.

The death toll increased by 188, which is the country’s new high, while 17,975 patients were cured and allowed to leave hospitals.

Cumulative cases in the country are at 672,385 with 5,503 total deaths. - The Nation/Asia News Network
