At the session, the committee discussed and reached a high consensus on introducing 23 more personnel to the state apparatus, which is yet to be approved by the 15th National Assembly (NA), the country's top legislature, at its first gathering later this month.
In early March, the CPVCC nominated 27 people for top positions of the country at its second session.
The 14th NA later elected Vuong Dinh Hue as the new NA chairman, Nguyen Xuan Phuc as the state president, and Pham Minh Chinh as the prime minister, among other personnel decisions.
Delegates also gave their opinions about the implementation of five-year plans on socio-economic development, national finance and public investment in the 2016-2020 period.
At the closing session on Thursday, General Secretary of the CPVCC Nguyen Phu Trong stressed that the content put on the table at this session was "of great significance and drew utmost attention of people."
Trong asked members of the central committee to further bring into play their sense of responsibility, set an example and take the lead in implementing the assigned tasks.
