Activists: Govt targeting conservation group for exposing corruption


THE founder of a conservation group that saw three of its activists jailed this month says the government is taking aim at them for their work in exposing corruption and environmental abuse – an allegation the government denies.

The arrests mark at least the third time Mother Nature Cambodia’s activists faced criminal charges. Six of its Cambodian members are jailed and two others have been convicted in absentia.
