Laos: Govt decides on more restrictions as Covid-19 cases still rising; 113 more Covid-19 cases confirmed


VIENTIANE, April 26 (Xinhua): Covid-19 cases continue to rise in Laos. The Lao Ministry of Health reported 113 new confirmed Covid-19 cases on Monday, bringing the country's caseload to 436.

Director General of the National Center for Laboratory and Epidemiology under the Lao Ministry of Health, Dr Phonepadith Xangsayarath, told a press conference here on Monday that among the new cases, 54 were detected in Champasak province, 31 in Vientiane, 13 in Savannakhet, seven in Bokeo, two each in Oudomxay and Phongsaly, and one each in Sekong, Xayaboury, Luang Prabang and Vientiane province.
