Vietnam President proposes closer cooperation with China in phone talk with Xi

HANOI, Feb 9 (Vietnam News/ANN) — Vietnamese Party General Secretary and State President Nguyễn Phú Trọng has proposed Việt Nam and China further intensify cooperation, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and promote the bilateral traditional friendship between the two Parties, nations and their people to obtain greater achievements in the new period for the interests of their people and for peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

The top Vietnamese leader made the suggestion during his phone conversation on Monday with Party General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.
