Laos closely monitoring border to prevent second wave of Covid-19


VIENTIANE, Dec 26 (Xinhua): The Laos government continues to closely monitor people entering Laos from abroad in order to prevent a second wave of Covid-19 in the country, a health official has announced.

Risk remained for Laos of a second wave of Covid-19 as some neighbouring countries continued to combat outbreaks, Deputy Director General of the Department of Communicable Diseases Control under the Ministry of Health, Sisavath Soutthaniraxay, told a press briefing held in thes Lao capital Vientiane.
