High Court denies bail for HK activist Agnes Chow

HONG KONG (China Daily/ANN): The High Court on Wednesday (Dec 9) denied the bail petition of activist Agnes Chow Ting pending an appeal against her 10-month jail sentence on charges related to an unauthorised assembly last year.

The 24-year old activist was jailed on Dec 2 along with Joshua Wong Chi-fung for their roles in an illegal rally near the police headquarters in Wan Chai in 2019.
