Indonesia exempts import taxes for Covid-19 vaccines


JAKARTA (Xinhua): The Indonesian government will exempt the import taxes on Covid-19 vaccine procurement to accelerate the implementation of vaccinations and support the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Antara news agency on Monday (Nov 30).

Syarif Hidayat, Director of International Customs and Inter-institutions at the Finance Ministry, pointed out that the government provided the fiscal facility for imports of vaccines and vaccine raw materials as well as equipment needed to produce vaccines and implement vaccinations.
