JAKARTA (Xinhua): Indonesia recorded a us$3.61-billion trade balance surplus in October 2020, Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS) announced on Monday (Nov 16).
According to the agency, the amount is higher than $2.44 billion recorded in September 2020.
The country recorded a total of $14.39-billion exports in October, a 3.09 per cent increase month-to-month, while the total imports fell by 3.29 per cent to 10.78 billion dollars.
October's export performance was contributed by non-oil and non-gas exports valued at $13.76 billion, an increase by 3.54 per cent.
Meanwhile, oil and gas exports were valued $630 million, down by 5.94 per cent from the figures in the previous month.
The increase in non-oil and non-gas exports was supported by agriculture and industry exports whose value rose by 1.26 per cent to $420 million, the manufacturing industry exports that increased by 2.08 per cent to $11.79 billion, and the mining industry exports which grew by 16.98 per cent to $1.55 billion.
