Breaking news: Xi holds talk with Japan's new leader Suga

BEIJING, Sept 26 (China Daily/ANN): China would like to make joint efforts with Japan's new government to properly handle major sensitive issues including historical issues and promote mutual political trust, President Xi Jinping has announced.

Xi made the remarks in a phone conversation with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, the first between the two leaders since Suga took office earlier this month.
