Covid-19 cases in Philippines soaring towards 287,000, worst infected in South-East Asia

MANILA, Sept 20 (Xinhua): The number of confirmed Covid-19 (coronavirus) cases in the Philippines surged to 286,743 after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 3,311 new daily cases on Sunday. It remains the country with the worst infection record in South-East Asia.

The DOH said that the number of recoveries also surged to 229,865 after 20,021 more patients have survived the disease.
