Covid-19 cases is surging in Myanmar

YANGON, Sept 5 (Xinhua): Myanmar reported 45 new laboratory-confirmed cases of Covid-19 on Saturday morning, raising the tally of infections to 1,216, said a daily release from the Health and Sports Ministry.

Of the newly confirmed cases, 38 patients are from Yangon region while the rest are from Bago region, Rakhine and Shan states, the ministry's release said.
