Brunei: British man dies as motorcycle hits car

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Aug 31 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): A foreign man died in a motorcycle accident along Jalan Tengah, Panaga, Seria on Sunday (Aug 30).

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) received an emergency call at 3.37pm about the car and motorcycle accident.

Police officers from the Panaga Police Station were dispatched to the scene of the accident.

Initial investigations revealed the 42-year-old British national was riding a motorcycle which is believed to have crashed into a car about to enter a junction.

The victim was immediately rushed to Suri Seri Begawan Hospital, Kuala Belait where he was pronounced dead. The RBPF is investigating the cause of accident.

The RBPF reminded road users to follow the speed limit and be aware of surrounding vehicles as well as road conditions. - Borneo Bulletin/Asian News Network
