SEOUL, July 27 (Bernama): Some 14,000 people were estimated to have died in South Korea from a deadly humidifier sanitiser scandal that broke out in 2011, a figure that is roughly 10 times bigger than previously reported, Yonhap News Agency quoted a study released Monday.

The number of adults who died after being diagnosed as patients of relevant diseases, such as asthma and interstitial lung disease, were estimated at ranging between 13,000 and 16,000, according to the first study that looked into deaths caused by the health scandal.
