NEW DELHI, July 4 (Xinhua): India's federal health ministry on Saturday morning said 442 new deaths due to Covid-19 (coronavirus), besides fresh 22,771 positive cases, were reported during the past 24 hours across the country, taking the number of deaths to 18,655 and total cases to 648,315.

"As on 8am (local time) Saturday, 18,655 deaths related to coronavirus have been recorded in the country," reads information released by the ministry.
