Vietnam’s second-quarter economic growth drops to 10-year low


HANOI, June 29 (dpa): Vietnam's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by just 0.36 per cent in the second quarter of 2020, marking the lowest economic growth over this period in 10 years, according to a government report released on Monday.

While the industrial sector grew by 1.38 per cent compared with the same period last year, the service sector shrank by 1.76 per cent, Vietnam's General Statistics Office (GSO) said in the report.
