Japan business travellers first foreigners to be allowed back in Thailand

Thailand is preparing to open more hotel rooms for quarantine accommodation to cater to the thousands of Japanese businesspeople ready to resume their operations in the country. - Bloomberg

BANGKOK (The Nation/ANN): About 100 businesspeople per day from Japan – the largest foreign investor in Thailand – will be among the first foreigners allowed back into the country as the lockdown eases.

Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam made the announcement on Wednesday (June 24) after talks with Japan External Trade Organisation (Jetro) president Atsushi Taketani.
