Relook tax structure for new vehicles

WITH the increasing costs in car ownership brought about by car duties and rising petrol prices, the Government needs to urgently relook the tax regime for cars.

The basic premise should be centred around reducing the cost of ownership without compromising any loss of income for the Government.
