Abide by rules SPAD tells Uber to get required permits


Connecting passengers and drivers: Uber Malaysia's Facebook page saw a flood of support for the company's services, with many recounting good experiences. However, some were also sympathetic to the plight of taxi drivers.

PRIVATE transport service Uber seems to be under the spotlight currently, with the question of whether or not it should be allowed to operate in the Klang Valley.

Earlier last week, taxi drivers associations and taxi companies highlighted that Uber did not have the necessary permits in accordance with local transportation laws.
