THE culprits offering sexual services at massage parlours and reflexology centres in Desa Sri Hartamas have not been caught red-handed by the authorities, said Kuala Lumpur City Hall.

A spokesman from City Hall’s enforcement department said the last complaint that the department had received on the matter was in July last year.

“During our raid we found no such activity. After visiting the centre twice on different occasions, we did not find any immoral activity happening there as stated by a complainant in Desa Sri Hartamas.

“The operators are very good at covering their tracks.

“Maybe they have an insider to warn the centre operators on planned raids,” he said.

The spokesman added that only premises applying for new operating licences would be checked by them.

City Hall would also act on complaints by patrons of such parlours who suspect immoral activities being conducted there.

Currently, City Hall has approved 34 massage parlour licences in Taman Sri Hartamas and its surroundings.

The licences are approved by the Licensing and Petty Traders Management Department.

Those wanting to lodge a complaint about any immoral activities happening in massage centres could call City Hall’s 24-hour toll-free line (1800-88-3255) or email to
