THERE was something about the free and easy Thai fisherman’s pants that inspired celebrity Afdlin Shauki to create his own line of Pelikat pants.

The style captivated him when he was in Bangkok late last year and it struck him that besides being comfortable and versatile, the colourful trousers were also practical and marketable.
