PETALING JAYA: One of the construction workers who was injured in the Bandar Malaysia explosion has died.
"Of the three injured, one succumbed to the injuries. Two others are in a critical condition," said MMC Gamuda KVMRT in a statement issued on Wednesday.
It added that the workers seeking treatment at Hospital Kuala Lumpur were initially reported to be in stable condition at the point of admission before their condition worsened.
"The cause of the incident will be made known when the investigation is fully completed," it said
On Tuesday night, an explosion rocked an MRT construction site in Bandar Malaysia.
The cause of the explosion is believed to have been from an old bomb from the Second World War.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Amar Singh confirmed the bomb but did not elaborate on its type.
"It exploded suddenly while construction works were being done," he said earlier Wednesday.
